The GT-R Is My favorite by far. The LFA is great but i would never pay that rediculous price for a lexus. If they were in the same price range, i would give it to the LFA

The GTR is an amazing car but so is the LFA. To me it comes down the bang for the buck and the GTR has this over the LFA.

spend half of the money you would spend on the lfa on sending the gtr to ams and get the alpha 12 package. $200,000 GTR ams alpha 12 vs. $400,000 LFA and the GTR absolutely destroys the LFA

Not informed, the alpha 12 doesn't cost nearly $105,000 (adding to 200k from the 95k base) its much cheaper than that.. and the GT-R beats the LFA stock vs stock and modded vs modded in any scenario. PEOPLE WHO THINK THE LFA IS FASTER HAVEN'T SEEN A GT-R RACE AN LFA IN 3 YEARS... YOUTUBE 2012-13-14 GT-Rs....

I give it completely to the GTR. Costs hardly anything compared to the LFA. You're practically paying for the sound in the LFA and it doesn't even go anywhere. 0-60 race and the GTR spanks the LFA. its one thing when an expensive car is much faster, but when you get down to it the new gtr which is 100,010 dollars and absolutely spanks the LFA and practically any other car on the road. it is pretty hard to give the LFA the upper hand.

The GTR is the Speed icon, it costs really cheap compared to a supercar and the fact that it can go faster than a ferrari 458 italia, I'd want a car that can talk the talk especially on the street. Yea sure LFA's you don't see as often but then again that's fine. It's overrated in my opinion. In the end a car is a car, the GTR is a everyday car at the same time a speed star that can turn heads, its way cheaper then the LFA so if you had enough to buy either car and went to the GTR you can have about 200-300 grand left over to tweak it some more if you wanted to. If I had to say, I'd say that the fact that the GTR is being compared to the LFA is quite embarrassing in my eyes. Comparing a GTR to a LFA is like comparing Internet Explorer on Windows 98 to Google Chrome on Windows 8.

ummm this isnt even a contest...GTR all the way. Not only are they extremely close matched off factory line but the GTR is 1/3 the price. So if i got my GTR and spent the remaining balance on proformance upgrades to match the amount you would spend on your LFA not only would i laugh at you while i chirp through 3rd and leave you in the dust but i would have enough time to parallel park and watch you cross the 1320 ft mark. =)

GTR from what I have seen,has the best overall performance. Its the most aggressive supercar on the market right now.Nissan has put a lot of sweat into this machine, hand built engine, I respect what they have brought to the market.

the cars suspension is too stiff even on comfort mode. Living in places like New York where the roads are very bumpy .. you will not enjoy the ride .. word from experience

Yea Dragon, You gotta get the facts right before you say something like that. The LFA was in the end of fast five. Han drove it. In the defense though! there has been countless more skylines than one LFA. in 2 fast 2 furious there was Brians Silver R34. and in The Fourth fast and furious there was another R34 and in fast 6 a R35 Gtr. So breaking it down, the skylines have been far more popular in the movies

Okay so the GTR is a sick car and so is the LFA. Tbh the GTR has a mean look. It also beats most exotic cars that are way over the price range of a GTR. A car that is sold for 90k and beats cars that go for 200k to 400k sounds good to me. But the LFA does have great interior and the GTR does not. The LFA also has a nice sound to it but then again the GTR just as the mean sound to. Also the GTR wins in a straight away and a curvey track. Anyways to get to my point I would rather spend 90k to 110k on a GTR then buy a LFA.

The points made on the LFA side are laughable... "cooler looking tac?".. Yeah thats reason to spend $350,000 instead of $90,000
 

Wait until the 2015 nismo GT-R gets out and not only beats the LFA like it does now, but instead make it look like its standing still for a third of the price. LFA fans can dig their favorite car and thats fine but explaining how its "better" than the GT-R is ridiculous

The GTR has by far been the car of many peoples dreams. Its the successor of the R34 and the predecessor for many more. The skylines have always been a powerful car, and strongly built. The LFA claims to be a super car but for the moneys worth, it's not even in the class of the GTR. By Speed, Engine, as well as looks in my opinion. The GTR and the skylines before it have become well known for the power they can deliver. GTR takes the cake all day

it would cost more after getting it imported from Japan, and getting work done to make it drivable. so you're actually looking at 100,000

With the money you save buying the GT-R, you can upgrade parts, personalize and make it "one of a kind". The Lexus is nice, I mean everything has been tuned and made perfect. Even the exhaust was tuned by the yamaha music company. But, if I had something perfect, I wouldn't risk messing it up... so I could never enjoy it fully. Not nearly like I could with the GT-R. There's so many things to do with the GT-R including taking those risks that make driving fun. Honestly, I'd get neither and get an RX-7 and put all the money into that.

 

There's too many GTR out there to make it one of a kind. I rather be the lucky guy who has one of the 500 LFAs out there because I know no one else could get it anymore.

A car for less than half the price of the Lexus LFA and with a v6 instead of a v10, with twin turbos, 1.8L to do 3.2 seconds in 0-60 compared to 3.9 of the LFA, I would go any day for a GTR, any person smart enough would...

LFA is sleek and exotic.... GTR is brute and looks mean but the design is not as appealing. as far as performance i honestly dont know enough to judge it. However I think just on Rareness and Looks the LFA wins out. 

 

i LOVED the R32 and R34, though. Just a really good look.

The speedo and tachometer are just way cooler.  Plus the start button looks like something out of a jet fighter.  Plus, why buy one of something when you can get one of something else at 5x the cost?

 

dude, LFA's cost more than R35's. it's 200,000, versus maybe, after all import and emmisions and shit, 150-175,000. but R35 isn't permitted in the US.

the only advantage that the GT-R would have is that its got manual mode but the LFA s running on a powerful V-10 engine it can do massive speeds a GT-R is running on a V-6 engine the height of the LFA is 5.9 inches less than the GT-R so is creates that downforce the LFA would win in a heartbeat against the GT-R

Sure the GTR is bang for the buck, but it looks horrible. Unless you actually plan on racing it, there is no point to owning it. The only people that will know the significance of it is slim to none. I wouldn't pay for either, but having to choose it will always be the LFA over the gtr. Now if this was a choice between the new gtr vs old gtr I would choose old gtr no doubt. Gtr interior is crap for the amount of money it cost, ride is horrible. It is a purpose built beat, that's all it is for is going fast. No class, no appeal, no comfort. LFA looks beautiful, sounds beautiful, rides beautiful, feels beautiful. The interior of the gr looks like it was pulled out of the 90s. All it has is a monitor with a lot of useless information that most people wont need. Like I said, purpose built. Nothing else but a go fast car. Where on the street , it just an ugly duck face car, nothing like the original

I need to start with saying both vehicles are incredible with how much tuning, care, and devotion went into the processs of production. The R35 with hand built engines, varying the horse power in each, the launch assists, a screen to display g's, boost levels, and a GPS system that knows when you are on a track and unlocks power hidden within. Or the LFA that in order to be produced, needed its own carbon fiber loom, hundreds of thousands of miles being tuned at the Nurburgring, and a V10 finely tuned and made from the lightest materials possible and sits low enough that the engine valves sit lower than the top of its front rims..  I would vote the Skyline for its availability, brutal acceleration, and everday practicality in comparrison. But to own one copy of 500, of vehicle breakthroughs and owning driving art? the Lexus wins hands down.

I keep hearing all these points made about the GTR being a purpose built car. That may be true BUT so is the LFA. It's tuned, designed, engineered, and built to go FAST.  And dont get me wrong I love the GTR and its predecesor the Skyline, but the LFA is faster stock, has a less confusing dash, and is a more comfortable car that does go faster believe it or not. But you gotta pay to play when there is a price tag of $445,000 for the Nurburgring Package. For nostalgia's sake I would buy the GTR. If I had an unlimited bank account I'd have both. If I had a choice of one to be given to me I'd chose the LFA any day.cool

In a comparison like this, price isn't really a factor because 1.) Both cars have 6 figure sums (reagardless of how much "more" the LFA costs) leading to being far beyond the grasps of most if not all middle class people who drool after both cars, and 2.) The LFA's exclusivity and exotic rarity offer something you can't buy with the GTR, STATUS. There are far more other cars with far LESS tech, exotic materials, and exclusivity that cost even MORE.

The GTR is an over-achiever, sacrificing driver involvement in an attemp to achieve overall lap-time superiority via techno gadgetry and wizardry.  In many ways it's methods are sacrilegious to driving purists.  Driving aids for safety is one thing, but having a vehicle nearly do it all for you makes the drive nearly pointless.  Mastering a corner with true driving skill rather than having the car mask your inability brings true driving satisfaction.  The GTR just takes it too far, IMO.

In a straight line, the GTR may win the 1/4 mile from it's traction, but no longer soon after that.  It's proven the LFA is faster at high speed after the 1/4 mile.

And the final point for me is this:  The LFA exhaust note.  Instanty panty dropper.

just watched a video in the 1/4 mile the 2012 LFA spanked the 2009 GT-R. Then 2012 GT-R spanked the shit out of the 2012 LFA. GT-R for sure!!!

If we're talking bang for buck then obviously the GT-R but car for car? Well the LFA isn't just a car, it's a work of art! It's the kind of car that will have you grinning from ear to ear. Now the GT-R is an awesome and fast car for it's price but it lacks that X-factor that makes unique. A fast car isn't always a fun car So i'm saying realistically i'd get the GT-R but if money wasn't an issue, The LFA is the modern day Mona Lisa on wheels and would be the obvous choice.

Only simple mind people would want bang for the buck and/or never paid such a price for the LFA.  I can't afford both but I will take the LFA over the GTR because I will never get a brand new one.    Anyone with a decent income get a GTR anytime, but not the LFA.  Remember, GTR is a dime and dozen car and LFAs is one of a kind collectables.  GTR is met for the track only and not everyday driving, but the LFA can be use on both.  The material, quailty, and time spend to build the LFA can't be compare to the GTR.
